About Darren

More than an accountant. A finance partner who helps you build wealth.

Most accountants tell you what already happened. Darren Jasper helps you understand what is happening now, what is coming next, and what to do about it.

Darren is a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Fractional CFO with more than 20 years in the profession. That combination is rare, and it is the whole point. It means your business performance and your personal wealth are handled together, by one person, not pulled apart across separate advisers who never speak to each other.

The story

The same pattern, again and again.

ICAEW Chartered Accountant

After two decades working with owner-managed businesses, Darren kept seeing the same thing. Good businesses, run by capable people, growing every year, but the owner still could not answer a simple question with confidence: how is my business really performing, and what should I do next?

The numbers were always there. They just arrived too late, in a format nobody could use, with no one to explain what they actually meant. So the owner made big decisions on gut feel, hoped the tax bill would not surprise them, and wondered why the profit on paper never seemed to reach their own bank account.

Business Squared exists to fix that. To turn financial data into clear, plain-English insight, so business owners can make better decisions, manage tax sensibly, and turn the success of their business into real personal wealth.

What Darren believes

Four convictions that shape every engagement.

Year-end is too late.

You should not have to wait until year-end to find out whether you had a good year.

Profit, cash and tax are connected.

Look at only one of them and you are guessing. Read them together and you can decide.

Expertise is making things simple.

It is not about using long words. It is about turning complicated things into plain English.

A business should give back.

The aim is not just a healthier business. It is one that rewards the person who built it.

If your current accountant only shows up at year-end, it might be time for a different kind of conversation.
